The department is boon to have efficient and technical qualified faculty who continuously updating their knowledge as per requirement of present world technology and forwarding the fruitful knowledge to the students.

The department is consistently achieving more than 95% results in all the courses offered. Along with education out students are participating in the development of the needs of various departments in the university and also department is participating in extension activities like various NSS programs.

About The Department

In Dravidian University , the Department of Computer Science was established in the year of 1999. Since inception, it has grown in stature to be ranked amongst the best in the university. The department currently offers MCA, M.Sc in Computer Science, 5 year Integrated Course M.Sc in Computer Science M.Phil and Ph.D programmes in Computer Science.

The coursed offered in the department meet the requirements of both the industry and research. The curriculum is designed to train the students in developing application programmes (Software) and also designing and developing computing systems (hardware).

The faculty of the department is actively engaged in research in the areas of Data mining, Neural Networks, Databases, Natural Language Processing, Semantic Web, Web Technologies.
